We are on the look for our next amazing experienced/retired Teacher to join our family.

You need to be fun, happy, organized, self motivated, dedicated, patient, enthusiastic and have a passion for seeing kids learn and grow. You will be teaching year 4, year 2 and ( help out with ) ekindy through Emerald distance education.

We are a fun, loving, social young family of 6. We have 2 adventurous boys aged 9 and 7 years a 4 year old girl and a 2 year old boy. Our eldest is very caring, social and loves to tell a story. Our 7 year old is more reserved loves cuddles and to be outside and active. Our girl is just a ball of fun and loves being allowed into the school room for kindy and the baby is very much a happy chappy. We live in a great little community and often socialize with our neighbours.

Our 84000 acre cattle station is situated 170km south of Charters Towers (our closest town) and 220km north of Clermont. Station life is busy and family orientated. We muster a few times a year with choppers, horses, dogs and bikes. Starting water pump’s, fixing fences, and feeding animals are all part of our day-to-day life too.

Although isolated we are very fortunate to live in a social, friendly area and are often getting together with neighbours for BBQ’s and birthdays. We also have a service station/pub 50 mins away which is a good spot to gather.

Our Teachers job will consist of teaching our 2 boys Monday to Friday and girl (ekindy 3 half days)within the hours of 8-3pm ish. As well as supervising school work, marking work and helping as required. Presenting a positive and happy manner in the schoolroom to encourage and motivate. Being organized to make the day run smoothly e.g. review the next days papers and plan the night before so you can have materials ready for their sessions, and submitting all work on time. The school room is to be visually engaging, colourful, stimulating and tidy. Skills in IT will be essential to facilitate the curriculum in the schoolroom and arranging some extra- curricular activities for the boys during the school week such as science experiments, cooking and physical exercise. Once a term we also attend a week long school camp (mini school) in Emerald were you will be encouraged to get involved in attending any sessions that will improve our children’s learning.

We are really hoping to find that special someone to help all our children but especially our eldest learn to his full potential.

The school room is situated in the main family home and is to be kept clean and tidy with help from the children with a vacuum and mop when needed.

Accomodation is provided in a separate one bedroom donga located 80 meters from the main home or welcome to bring your own vans.

Good Telstra mobile signal at living quarters for personal mobile data usage. We receive mail twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursday from Charters Towers. If this sounds like the position for you please be in contact.

Harry loves his cricket, football, motorbike riding, learning about dinosaurs, animals and interesting history (eg the titatinc, and wars). Harry is a very social, confident boy who loves a chat and often gets side tracked in the classroom. Hugo loves to get out in the dirt with his trucks and diggers, loves ringing his motorbike, dinosaurs, nature and the trampoline. Hugo is more reserved in nature, but very matter of fact. Both boys enjoy screen time like minecreaft. Pippa loves dressing up, imagery play, painting and craft, cooking and the trampoline. She is lots of fun with a very caring nature. Our Humphrey is a very much a happy chappy thats full of cheek and lots of words. Loves his cars and trucks.
