I am a retired primary school teacher. I have taught for over 40yrs mostly in Western Sydney. Schools include Whalan Primary, Mt Druitt 1975 -1977, Darcy Rd Primary School, Wentworthville 1978 -1982, Essington Christian School, Westmead 1983- 1998, Christian Community High School, Regents Park 1999 -2005. From 2006 – 2009 my husband and I lived in the highlands of PNG and taught in schools there. I was head teacher for Wapenamanda International Christian School and my husband was the Principal of Wapenamanda Foursquare High School. At the end of 2009 we spend about 5weeks on Elcho Is, NT where our daughter and son-in-law were living at the time. We did casual teaching at Shepherdson College, Galiwinku teaching mostly Aboriginal children. From 2011 – 2015 I taught at Shelley Primary school at Blacktown and then spent the remainder of my career at The Lakes Christian College, Castlereagh near Penrith. We are now living at Port Stephens, north of Newcastle. I am now tutoring online for Cluey Learning and am a volunteer for migrant education with AMEP, TAFE, NSW.
